Pacific Pearl

Perched high above the ocean in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, this landscape design blends modern architecture with a landscape inspired by the sea. The design transforms the space into a sculptural garden, using cacti, palms, and flowing grasses to echo the textures and movement of coral and seaweed 

The planting palette has been carefully selected to respond to the coastal environment, balancing resilience with strong sculptural form. Materials and spatial planning create a seamless transition between architecture and landscape, reinforcing the connection to the ocean setting.

The project and reflects Wyer & Co‘s approach to design and the result is a calm, otherworldly retreat where bold plant forms meet soft coastal tones. From the front courtyard’s sculptural aloe and agave to the rear garden’s panoramic ocean views, every detail celebrates the harmony between land, sea, and sky.
